Amsterdam: Ice Bar

Can we just be clear that this day in particular started my love affair with travel. 

I've always loved it, but this was the first day we finally met some interesting people and I started to feel like this trip would be something to remember. 

Can y'all spot the Floridian??

I was the only one in shorts and flip flops.

 Think there's something wrong with this picture?

Did that discourage me from entering the negative 10 degree ice bar?

 Never. Apparently I laugh in the face of stupidity.

Granted I didn't know we were going to the Ice Bar that day so I wore what was comfortable to be walking around in all day. Dumb.

We ended up at the ice bar after we hit Anne Frank house. Weird.

Luckily we got in without an appt. or we would have had to wait another hour. 

Oh no, an hour to kill in a bar, shoot me. 

Since we dodged the waiting bullet, the employees dressed us up in these smock type things that were suppose to keep us warm. Right. 

My little tootsies didn't make it 10 mins without turning blue, then a shade of red, and then finally I couldn't feel them so we bailed on the ice part and just hit the bar.

This was also the first bar to have regular Captain Morgan,

 so it's an automatic winner in my book.

 ( I know, I know, it's not Southern Comfort but it'll do)
